My solo retreat to Kastara Resort & Spa in Ubud was nothing short of magical. Seeking tranquility and a chance to reconnect with myself, I found a haven that surpassed all expectations. Nestled amidst Ubud's breathtaking landscapes, the resort offered a sense of serene isolation, yet with the comforting presence of exceptional staff. The views were a constant source of peace, a visual symphony of lush greenery and tranquil valleys. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff were truly remarkable. Being a solo traveler, I particularly appreciated their genuine kindness and helpfulness. Every member, from reception to housekeeping, made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. No request was too much trouble, and their smiles were a constant source of joy. A highlight of my stay was undoubtedly my spa experience with Lina. Her skilled hands provided a massage and skin treatment that were pure bliss. I felt completely rejuvenated, and her expertise was truly exceptional. It was a moment of profound relaxation and self-care. I also had the pleasure of indulging in the Kawa Habachi culinary experience, and Chef Indra's creations were a feast for the senses. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing his talent and passion. Chef Indra's artistry and the staff's attentiveness made it a truly memorable occasion. My villa was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance, a perfect space for solitude and reflection. The private pool offered a personal oasis, and the stunning views provided a constant connection to nature. The attention to detail, from the luxurious amenities to the impeccable cleanliness, was truly impressive. Kastara Resort & Spa became my personal sanctuary, a place where I could truly unwind and recharge. It was an experience that nourished my soul, and I left feeling deeply grateful for the tranquility and exceptional service. To Lina, Chef Indra, Suzanne, and the entire staff, thank you for creating such a perfect solo retreat.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The rooms are very clean. We didn’t encounter any bugs or anything negative. I must say, they’ve done an incredible job maintaining such cleanliness in the middle of a dense forest. The room’s furnishings are lovely and sufficient. The bathroom design is fantastic. You might want to watch the sunrise and sunset from the balcony—an incredible view. You can also fill the bathtub to enhance your relaxation. The food is excellent. You must try their signature breakfast; it’s perfectly balanced and healthy. The dinners and appetizers are just as delightful. In the evenings, there are music performances, all of which were wonderful. They play calm, romantic songs that perfectly match the spirit of the forest. The hotel staff is outstanding. No one can match their attentiveness and service quality. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Bali, but Kastara’s team is truly exceptional. This time, the hotel staff was incredibly helpful in organizing a very special event for me. I want to thank each of them individually—you were amazing. A special thanks to Ms. Mitra, who took such great care of us during the event evening. You are so kind and wonderful. If you’re looking for a romantic, peaceful, and perfect vacation, don’t choose anywhere else in Ubud. This place is simply fantastic! We will definitely visit again!

I recently spent 10 days at Kastara Resort and had a wonderful experience. Our room offered a stunning view of the jungle. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink while the hotel staff handled our check-in. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were pleasantly surprised by a room decoration arranged by the team. A highlight of our accommodation was the spacious bathtub on the balcony, with such a beautiful view. Perfect for relaxing after a long day. The hotel staff consistently demonstrated professionalism, always ready to assist with any request. They were polite and friendly. The hotel manager was frequently present and readily available to help with any matter. For guests considering breakfast at the hotel, I recommend booking it together with your room. The breakfast menu offers some options, including fresh smoothies and juices.

We stayed there for only 3 nights, and we wish we could have stayed longer. The service and staff were excellent. One day, we had to go on a tour (a volcano tour), so we had to wake up at 2 a.m., and we wouldn’t make it on time for breakfast. We asked them if they could bring breakfast to our room so it would be ready when we arrived around 11 a.m. They did! :) They were all super nice and polite. The room was really beautiful and clean, the view and swimming pool were awesome, and the restaurant was a little bit expensive compared to others, but you can find other places within walking distance. The area was super chill, with not too many people or traffic. Nearby, there is a walking trail through nature that takes you to the center (a 30-minute walk). It was perfect.

A hotel with a very high service culture and a high level of service. The service staff is fantastic in everything. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant with a nice view of the pool and the jungle. Of course, nature views from the room and the superb pool. The flower bath in the room was charming. The room is spacious enough with an elegant design. We loved it. The terrace-like balcony with a bathtub and a view of the jungle is wonderful. On the other side of the hotel, across the street, or by walking to the left, you can enjoy the green rice fields and a walk along the tourist street and path. There are cafes with local food and delicious fresh juices. . A place where I would definitely like to return....if a transfer to the city is provided.
